This is a place that probably doesn't need or care about a Yelp review, which is kinda cool it is getting a Yelp review. What do I mean? Well this is a real unpretentious local bar that usually only the local folks in the area know about. It doesn't serve the latest "craft beer", or practice mix-ology with crazy cocktails in fact the bar probably has seen better days, but I have to say I always have a fun time when I come here and the drinks are usually pretty reasonable. Jeannie (sp?) the owner is a very sweet woman. She is always very friendly. She takes care of a local stray cat named Rocky that was an unfortunate victim of abuse. He generally relaxes under a table near the back of the bar or will go into the back area behind a private door if it gets too loud. When Lake Ariel has their 4th of July fireworks (not always on 4th of July, check schedule) it is a good idea to do a little pre-gaming here then walk down to the Lake watch the show then come back for a post game wrap up! Like I said, it has seen better days and it is a "smoking bar", which I am not crazy about but all and all not a bad place to have a laid back drink.
